1 Introduction
A color correction matrix is the standard first-order characterization between a cameras spectral response and CIE color matching functions. It is the 3×3 linear map from device RGB to a tristimulus space, chosen to minimize a colorimetric error over a set of training stimuli. This tool derives that matrix from a photograph of a reflective test target of known CIELAB reference values (a ColorChecker or a compatible chart) and applies it.
